Facebook can be dangerous

Facebook and other social media sites are fun. They’re great for keeping in touch and updating friends on your life.

But when it comes to divorces and custody issues, they can be dangerous.

Information on Facebook can be presented in court and used as evidence. For example, if during divorce proceedings, a man claims to be staying in every night and watching his kids, yet photos portray him as a partier, a judge might be less inclined to believe his statements.

The moral of the story? When in doubt, don’t post it. You never know how Facebook information might be construed in court.
