Florida’s “parents and divorce” course

During a divorce, all parties with minor children are required to attend a “parents and divorce” course approved by the Florida Department of Children and Families before entry of the Final Judgment of Dissolution of Marriage. I recommend that you take this course as quickly as possible because it will help you navigate through the divorce process.

Keep in mind that the court can always modify a time-sharing arrangement if there is a substantial change is circumstances that were unanticipated at the time of the entry of the final judgment. However, this is a very difficult task to accomplish and therefore it is not in your best interest to simply to agree to a time-sharing schedule in order to obtain a Final Judgment of Dissolution of Marriage, thinking that you will be able to modify time-sharing at a later date. It is much harder to change time-sharing after the final judgment has been entered.
